Compatibility

A direct guitar signal is part of the product.

GuitarGod is built around an electric guitar connected through a USB audio interface with wired monitoring. Check the complete setup before downloading or joining a cohort.

Hardware acceptance is still in progress; this page separates implemented support from verified-device claims.

Required setup

A laptop microphone or Bluetooth headset cannot substitute for the direct monitored path GuitarGod measures and records.

Both platforms are first-class requirements. Windows, mobile, and browser-only use are not launch targets.

Wired headphones or speakers

Bluetooth monitoring adds latency and is not supported for live practice.

Implemented

Device enumeration, configuration probing, native engine lifecycle, test tone, input gain, gate, tuner, metronome, monitoring, recording, and replay.

Still being verified

Complete channel selection, calibration and auto-gain workflow, disconnect/reconnect behavior, multi-channel input, non-f32 formats, and real-device acceptance.

Not claimed

A universal numeric latency guarantee. GuitarGod measures the active setup and reports what it observes.

macOS

GuitarGod uses the native CoreAudio device path through its Rust audio engine. Signed and notarized macOS installers and the complete real-interface matrix remain release work.

Linux

Linux is a first-class platform, with ALSA and PipeWire setups included in hardware acceptance. Distribution packaging exists in CI; installed-artifact and diverse-interface proof remain open.

Interface details

Class-compliant interfaces are the intended baseline. The early-access form asks for make, model, platform, and architecture so invitations can target uncovered cells instead of operating first-come, first-served.
